Tours from Uyuni

The Salar de Uyuni is the biggest tourist attraction of Bolivia. Marvellous views, exceptional landscapes, it`s flora and fauna, volcanoes and much more is the reason for this.
With a surface of 10,500 km² the Salar the Uyuni is the second largest salt flat in the world, consisting of eleven layers of salt from different thickness. The salt flat has a depth of 120 m. and holds an enormous wealth of minerals. The average day temperature is 20°C while the average night temperature is -25°C.
In the Salar de Uyuni there are some islands situated. Two of them, Isla del Pescado that has the shape of a fish, and Incahuasi are both grown over with a huge quantity of a type of cactus that gets to 10 m high.
In N.P. Eduardo Avaroa at Laguna Colorada, the red lagoon, migratory Andean flamingos can be seen.

Important notes:
Due to climate and road conditions, for all tours through the Salar de Uyuni routes may vary and can sometimes be changed without notice, reason for which details of the tours through the Salar de Uyuni are only for reference, and are not to be taken as an exact itinerary of what the tours implies.
For tours to and from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, also is applicable: If due to climate and/or road conditions the border crossing between Bolivia/Chile at Hito Cajón is closed, the tour will be diverted to the border crossing at Ollagüe, if possible. This diversion brings extra costs with it that are not included in the tour and that
have to be paid by the client on the spot.
