Uyuni - Salar de Uyuni - San Pedro de Atacama (Chile), group tour or private tour

You will depart around ten (private tour) or half ten (group tour) on this wonderful tour through the Salar the Uyuni. 
First you will visit the Train Cemetery, and then Colchani, where handicrafts made of salt can be seen, as well as the process of making domestic salt, and the Salt Museum.
Then you will enter the salt flats and you will see Ojos del Salar; here bubbling gases escape from underneath the salt flat, and Montones de Sal (salt piles).
You will also visit the Salt Hotel and Incahuasi (cactus island), where you can go for a short walk to observe giant cacti and volcanic rocks.
On your way to San Pedro de Quemez or San Juan, where you will spend the night, you will visit the caves Cueva del Diablo and Galaxy Cristal.

On the second day, after breakfast, you will travel through the Salar de Chiguana to reach a viewpoint from where you will have a splendid view at the semi-active Ollagüe Volcano.
The journey continues driving through the Silolí Desert and you will get to see Cañapa Lagoon, Hedionda Lagoon and Chiarkota Lagoon.
Next you will see the Stone tree, a rock formation of over eight meters high.
After a visit to Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon) you will end the day close to the lagoon, where you will spend the night in a basic accommodation/dorm room.

* The departure on the third day will be very early.
First you will reach the geyser Sol de Mañana, and a bit later on, time permitting, you will have the opportunity to warm up when you take a bath in the natural thermal water of the hot springs (Polques).
The journey goes on through the Salvador Dalí Desert and you will arrive at Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) with the close by Licancabur Volcano.
After you will have passed Laguna Blanca (White Lagoon) you will reach the border soon. Here you will make the connection at 9.30 hrs. with your transport to San Pedro de Atacama (shared transfer is included) which takes about 1 hour. You will get a stamp in your passport, leaving Bolivia.

    Spanish speaking driver or English speaking guide, depending on your choice;
    Meals from lunch on the 1st day until arrival at the border Bolivia/Chile on the 3rd day;
    2x stay overnight in basic accommodations/ dorm rooms;
    * Shared transfer by bus at 9.30 hrs. from the border Bolivia/Chile to San Pedro de Atacama.
    (We strongly advise to take a private transfer at 14.30 hrs. instead at an extra cost, if you have a private tour; this gives you more time to enjoy the places of interest. On a group tour this is not possible.)
