Isla del Sol North to South
group tour or private tour, full day

The tour starts between eight and eight thirty when your guide comes to pick you up from your hotel in Copacabana. You will go to the port where the shared or private boat leaves bound for Challapampa on the Northern part of the island. This trip takes roughly 1¾ hours.
There you will visit the regional museum where you can see pre-colonial objects from the Inca and Tiwanokota culture.
Next you will walk for some 45 minutes to the Chincana ruins. On the way you can see Las Pisadas del sol (prints of the sun) and La Roca Sagrada (the holy rock). (According to the legend Mama O'cllo and Manco Kapac were born on this rock).
At La Chincana you will visit the ruins of the labyrinths and houses.
After this visit you will go on board again to be taken to Yumani on the south side of the island. This takes about 45 minutes.
Here you will have time to eat your pack lunch.
In Yumani you will see more ruins, as the Inca Stairs (Escalinata del Inca) and the Fountain of Eternal Youth.
On the private tour you will also visit Pilkokaina Palace, from where you will have a spectacular view on the massive of the Illampu Mountain.
Between 16.00 and 16.30 hrs. you will return to Copacabana by boat, where the tour ends between 17.00 and 18.00 hrs.
