San Pedro de Atacama - Salar de Uyuni - Tupiza

You will depart around 7.30 hrs. from San Pedro de Atacama to the border at Hito Cajón. After receiving a stamp in your passport you will change transport and start your tour by Jeep.
Today you will get to see Laguna Blanca (white lagoon) and Laguna Verde (green lagoon) and the nearby Volcano Licancabur. You will drive through the Salvador Dalí Desert to arrive at the natural thermal water of the hot springs (Polques).
Then you will pass Laguna Chalviri and see the geyser Sol de Mañana. Next stop will be at Laguna Colorada (red lagoon). The journey continues driving through the Silolí Desert where you will get to see the Árbol de Piedra (stone tree), a rock formation of over eight meters high.
You will stay overnight in Tayka Hotel Del Desierto in Ojo de Perdiz.
On the second day you will pass the so called Lagunas Altoandinas: Laguna Ramaditas, Laguna Honda, Laguna Chiarkota, Laguna Hedionda and Laguna Cañapa.
You will arrive at a viewpoint from where you will have a good view of the semi-active Ollagüe Volcano.
Probably you will see some wildlife today as well. Then your drive continues through the salt flat of Chiguana to visit the caves Cueva del Diablo and Galaxia Cristal.
You will spend the night in Tayka Hotel De Piedra in San Pedro de Quemez.
On the third day after breakfast you will leave for the Salar de Uyuni. You will visit cactus island Incahuasi where you can go for a short walk over the island along the huge cacti to enjoy the fabulous views over the salt flats.
Today you can also walk up the Tunupa Volcano to one of the viewpoints from which you will have an excellent view over the salt flats.
After that you will visit the archaeological site of Chullpares, pre-Inca mummies, in Coquesa. Just outside the village you might spot lamas and maybe also flamingos.
You will spend the night in Tayka Hotel de Sal in Tahua.
On the last day you will visit the Salt Hotel, see Ojos del Salar (eyes of the salt flat), here bubbling gases escape from underneath the salt flat, and Montones de Sal (salt piles) at the spot where salt is extracted.
In Colchani handicrafts made of salt can be seen, as well as the process of making domestic salt, and the Salt Museum.
You will see the Train Cemetery near Uyuni where you can see antique English trains that where brought to Bolivia many years ago and that are no longer in use.
Then you will arrive in Uyuni where you will have lunch. From there you will drive over miners´ roads to Atocha, to arrive to the Cordillera de Los Lipez and to descend later on into the Valleys of Salo and Tupiza.
You will arrive in Tupiza later in the afternoon.
