Sucre's Hat factory and Mercado Campesino
private tour of 3 hrs.

Sucre is not only known for its beautiful colonial buildings; the city is also famous for its excellent chocolate (try it!) and for the exquisite hats that are produced here.

We will pick you up by car from your hostal or hotel at 9.00 hrs. in the morning to first visit Sucre’s Hat Factory.

You will be surprised seeing the old steaming machines of the production line and people at work in this special ambiance that makes you feel you have gone back in time.

Hats from this fabric are exported throughout Latin America, to the USA and even to Europe. The fabric received several international prices for the excellent quality of its hats.

At the end of your tour through the fabric you can buy yourself a beautiful Chuquisaceño hat from the large selection that is displayed.

Afterwards we will go to the Indigenous local market, the Mercado Campesino. The area of this market is over 100 blocks and you will find both rich and poor people doing shopping over here.
There is a section where fruit is sold, but also coca leaves, witch craft goods, antiques and anything else you could think of.

The tour ends around 12.00 hrs. when you will be brought back to your hostal or hotel.

This tour is not possible on Saturday and Sunday!
