Isla del Sol, full day, group tour or private tour

Normally both the north and south of Isla del Sol are visited during this tour. As the north of the island is currently not accessible due to disagreement between the two population groups, we only go to the south of Isla del Sol. Instead of going to the north of the island, we sail to and visit Isla de la Luna.
If in the future it becomes possible to visit the north of Isla del Sol again, the tour will be as before and we will visit both the north and the south of Isla del Sol. In that case this tour will not go to Isla de la Luna.
Below is the description of the tour as it is currently being conducted.

The tour starts between eight and eight thirty when your guide comes to pick you up from your hotel in Copacabana.
You will go to the port where the shared or private boat leaves bound for Yumani on the southern part of the island. This trip takes roughly 1½ hours.

In Yumani you visit the Pilkokaina Palace, from where you have a spectacular view of the Illampu mountain range.
Afterwards you will make a hike of about 45 minutes to the place where you can see the famous Inca ruins, such as the Fountain of Eternal Youth and the Inca steps.

The guide will choose a nice place where you can eat your lunch.

Then you board the boat again and sail to Isla de la Luna in 45 minutes to an hour.
On this island you visit the Inca ruins of El Palacio de las Vírgenes (virgins) del Sol or Inaj Uyo. The guide will explain you about a possible theory of the construction.
You will then return to Copacabana, where the tour ends around 17.00-17.30 hrs.
