El Fuerte & El Refugio Los Volcanes, N.P. Amboró

Your guide will come to pick you up from your hotel in Sa. Cruz in the morning. About 2½ hrs. later you will arrive in the lovely little village of Samaipata. Here you will have a while to stroll through the small streets followed by a lunch.

After lunch you will visit the Museum of El Fuerte in Samaipata and the archaeological site of El Fuerte at a distance of more or less 9 km from Samaipata.

Afterwards you will be brought to El Refugio Los Volcanes, a hidden jewel in National Park Amboró with an overwhelming nature.
The area where the hotel is located is truly unique. 
The lodge, built in a beautiful colonial style, disposes of private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor hammocks from where you can see the steep red coloured sandstone mountains.
You will receive your dinner in the lodge and will also sleep and have breakfast here.

The guide will accompany you during your hike in El Refugio on the 2nd day. There are various trails to choose from like: to waterfalls, viewpoints, a special orchids trail and more.
The hiking time varies and in consultation with your guide you will make the choice where to go.

After the hike you can refresh yourself in the waterfall next to the lodge or enjoy the area from a reclining chair or a hammock.

After lunch your guide will travel with you until the end of the tour in Sa. Cruz or Samaipata.

Included: Transport from Sa. Cruz and back to Sa.
