This tour brings you to a hidden jewel in National Park Amboró! A truly overwhelming nature in a tucked away valley.

Over 200 species of birds, 100 species of orchids and bromeliads are identified. The puma, other wild cats and the tapir live in this area and also the agouti, the armadillo, the coati, the skunk, monkeys and other mammals are found here! 

The area where the hotel is located is truly unique.
The lodge, built in a beautiful colonial style, disposes of private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor hammocks from where you can see the steep red coloured sandstone mountains.

The area offers a variety of hiking trails to waterfalls, viewpoints, a special orchid walk and more.
Hiking time ranges from one to seven hours.

If you choose a tour with a local Spanish-speaking companion (no guide), a group will be formed after your arrival at the Refugio to go on the hikes.

If you have a tour with a bilingual guide then you will make your choice with your guide where to go.

After a hike you can refresh yourself in the waterfall next to the lodge or enjoy the area from a reclining chair or a hammock.

Your itinerary could look like this:
1st day:
Arrival at the pristine Refuge and the opportunity to do a short hike or have a refreshing plunge in the water of the waterfall that is located directly next to the lodge.
After lunch a hike in the area of the colonial lodge.

2nd day:
A day hike or two half day hikes through the unique area.
Relaxing is possible as well of course!

3rd day:
In the morning you do another hike and after lunch you leave for Samaipata or Sa. Cruz.

Included: Transport to El Refugio Los Volcanes vice versa; Internal transport in El Refugio Los Volcanes from the entrance to the lodge v.v. in 4x4; Service of a local Spanish speaking companion (no guide!) or an English speaking guide on your hikes, depending on your choice; Entrance fees; Meals: 3x lunch, 2x dinner, 2x breakfast; 2x stay overnight in El Refugio Los Volcanes in a private room with private bathroom.
